Terms and cancellation

1. Booking and payment

All private car charter reservations made through Asoko Trip are confirmed upon receipt of valid payment via our authorized booking engine (Bókun / Stripe) or agreed invoice. Prices quoted in Japanese Yen (JPY) include the private vehicle, commercial driver services, highway expressway tolls, parking fees, and fuel.

2. Cancellation and refunds

The cancellation policy depends on the product and vehicle rate selected. For online bookings, Bókun displays the applicable policy beside the rate and again before payment; that policy forms part of the booking. For a custom charter or invoice, the cancellation schedule in the written quote applies.

3. Weather we cannot drive in

In the rare event of extreme severe weather (e.g. major typhoons, volcanic warnings, or mandatory highway closures by the Japanese Road Bureau preventing travel to destinations like Mt. Fuji or Nikko), guests may reschedule their charter to an alternate date free of charge, or receive a 100% full refund.

4. Changing the route, and going over time

Standard charters include the duration stated on the product page and booking confirmation. Any overtime rate or out-of-area surcharge is shown in the live product details or written quote and must be agreed before it is charged.

5. In the car

All vehicles are strictly 100% non-smoking. Food and beverage consumption is permitted provided passengers maintain clean cabin care. Japanese law requires all passengers to wear seatbelts at all times while the vehicle is in motion.

6. Personal belongings

Personal belongings, passports, and valuables left in vehicles remain the sole responsibility of the passenger, although our drivers maintain strict vehicle security protocols.
